On February 18, the US and Russian delegations held talks in Saudi Arabia.

Before this meeting, Russian propagandists doubted its success, arguing that the US wouldn't betray Ukraine and were only misleading Putin: "No one will give us anything, neither Trump nor the West, not on a plate or a shovel. Russia takes everything either by the right of the strong or in battle."

At the same time, there were concerns about the possible consequences of the talks: "It is unlikely that after tomorrow's meeting we should expect a detailed 'Trump plan' to end the war. However, our diplomatic relations with America should increase after this conversation. Well... or degrade completely."

The military leaders were worried that the United States might pressure Putin to freeze the war. If Russia agrees to this, it should prepare for a new war.

The propagandists were also wary of putting pressure on Putin to abandon his allies: "We need to clearly defend the interests of Russia and only Russia, and in no case abandon our real allies who stood by us in difficult times. Russia has exactly two of them: Belarus and the DPRK. Iran can be partially included in this list."

Carve-up for two

The results of the meeting surprised not only the international community but also the propagandists themselves.

The main message is that Putin has outplayed everyone and is now sharing the balance of power with the United States: "And here in Riyadh, they are starting to divide the world, wow!"

This is a breakthrough for Russian diplomacy, which has been suppressed by the Democrats: "Congratulations to the US Ambassador to Russia and all American diplomats. Calls for the division of Ukraine have taken on new colors: "But what will definitely happen is the division of Ukraine. The Ukraine that Yeltsin's Russia created with its own hands in 1991 will definitely not exist anymore."

The propagandists explain that Trump will focus on China, so he won't want to fight on two fronts: "The United States is interested in ending the war in Ukraine as soon as possible because Trump wants to get involved in Taiwan. He doesn't want to fight a war on two fronts. I don't rule out Trump not minding that Kherson and Zaporizhzhia remain with Russia; it is a kind of concession to us on the condition that we do not interfere with the Cross-strait relations later."

Now the Russian propagandists also mention China, which, in their opinion, hasn't been very supportive of Russia: "Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Moscow. The Jackie Chans are making a fuss. Apparently, they don't like something happening in recent weeks. But they are selling drone components to both sides with a smile."

Whom to blame? Zelenskyy

Interestingly, Zelenskyy's statements about not recognizing agreements that don't meet Ukraine's interests gave some propagandists grounds to talk about Zelenskyy's subjectivity: "In general, the democratization of international relations is evident in the fact of at least some subjectivity of Mr. Zelensky."

Propagandists are developing three versions:

2. Zelenskyy is not controlled by the US Presidential Administration but by the "deep state" — law enforcement agencies and arms manufacturers: "Zelenskyy does not need Peace... Propagandists, commenting on the statements of the "peace-loving Trump," argue that the United States won't be able to stop the war because of the resistance of the UK and the EU: "Now the position of the UK is clear — war to the last Ukrainian."

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova introduces a new term — "British-EUish"

Now, Zelenskyy is a puppet of the UK. The propagandists repeat the cliché about how British making trouble to Russia: "The British will disrupt the negotiations between Russia and the United States and train a husky dwarf with Napoleon's habits."
